proxy space

Myspace proxy

Unbeknown to most there is no such thing as a Myspace proxy. The term is used to describe a proxy that has the ability to log into and work with the popular social networking site Myspace.

What Myspace proxies are there?

There are many proxies that can be used to access Myspace although there are many more that will not be able to handle logging into your own account through them.

CGI proxies

As a general rule a CGI based proxy, a proxy whose code is usually written in a language called PERL will work well with Myspace and most other sites that require you to log into them. You can tell a such sites as the URL will usually end in the extension pl rather than PHP.

PHP proxies

The majority of PHP proxies will not work with sites where you are required to log in such as Myspace and Bebo. However as the development of proxies continues this issue should be resolved.

So what proxy can I use?

There are a couple of issues you must understand first. Any one proxy will most likely only work for a while if you are using it behind a work or school firewall. The reason for this is that the network administrator will run filtering software that blocks sites you are not supposed to be viewing.

The second reason is that proxies tend to have a short life. To run a proxy required a great deal of bandwidth and processing power. This means people who run proxies soon find that they cannot afford to do so for very long.
